Head Coach

 

Sean Kelly

Coach Kelly is entering his 19th year coaching and in his 14th year as head coach of the High Point Stingrays.  A graduate and swimmer for Archbishop Ryan HS, he obtained a Bachelor of Science, Financial Management at ST. Joseph University.  Later, he obtained a Masters of Elementary Education from Holy Family College and a Master of Instructional Technology from St. Joseph University.  He is currently employed by the Central Bucks School District as a fifth grade teacher at Simon Butler Elementary.  Currently, he is ASCA  (American Swim Coaches Association) Level II and is currently working towards level III.

 

His main purpose for coaching is to provide the knowledge and excitement that his coaches gave to him and to share in his love for the sport.  Coach Kelly emphasizes stroke technique and mechanics (understanding) before application of skills (training).  He views every practice as a valuable piece of a puzzle with the finished result showing a knowledgeable and spirited swimmer who learns to be a team contributor.


 

Assistant Head Coach

 

Amanda Guminski

 

Amanda Guminski is a sixth year assistant for the PSC Stingrays.  She is a graduate from Hatboro-Horsham Senior High School and Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA.  She was on the swim team throughout both high school and college .  She received her BA in Spanish from Lycoming College and is now teaching Spanish in the area.  Amanda swam for the PSC Stingrays for 5 years and is excited to be able to contribute to the team as an assistant coach.

 

 


 

Laura Braun

Assistant Coach

 

Laura Braun is in her first year of coaching for the PSC Stingrays. She attends Slippery Rock University and has just completed her first year as a Biology major. She is a graduate of Central Bucks South High School where she was a four-year varsity swimmer. Laura swam in the Lower Bucks Swim League for 12 years and is now a coach for the Slippery Rock Eels Swim Team during the winter season. She is looking forward to joining the team and aiding us in another successful season.

 

 


 

Mike Doblemaier

Mike Doblmaier is a first year assistant coach for the PSC Stingrays.  He is a graduate of North Penn High School, where he swam for four years.  Currently, he attends Slippery Rock University, where he studies physical education with an aquatics minor.  Mike swam at Highpoint for 10 years and is excited to return to the team as an assistant coach.

 

 


Samantha Jarmul

Samantha Jarmul is a first year assistant coach for the PSC Stingrays.  She swam for the  PSC Stingrays  for 11 years and is excited to continue to be apart of the Stingray family.  Samantha went to high school at the William Penn Charter School where she swam for five years and she set two school records.   She also played water polo on the first ever Women's  Water Polo Team for three years where she set numerous records in all categories, assists, steals and goals. She was a member of the All Inter-Ac Swimming team and All Prep Women's Water Polo team.  She graduated from Penn Charter with induction into the Cum Laude Honors Society.  She currently swims  for the Pennsylvania State University swim team where she was a walk on and enjoyed travel through out the Big Ten.  Samantha just  completed  her freshman year as a member of the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania  State University where she is enjoying participating in the Sapphire Leadership Program.  She is excited to return to the program and help the team with another successful and fun season!
 

 


 

Chad Gerhard

Strength and Conditioning Coach

 

Chad Gerhard is excited to serve as the new Stingrays strength and conditioning coach. Chad graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in exercise science, concentrating in Strength and Conditioning. As a collegiate athlete Chad played for the Bloomsburg men’s soccer team. Chad has experience coaching athletes of all ages and abilities who participate in various sports. Chad has served as the strength and conditioning coach for the Bloomsburg Women’s Softball Team, the Emmaus Men’s Lacrosse Team, and the Infinity Girl’s Volleyball TeamsThe young swimmer needs more than just technical knowledge of the sport.  Increase speed, agility, reflex and strength can provide a great advantage.  Faster sprint speed, quicker acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, power, strength, higher vertical jumps, and quicker recovery are all critical to success in the swim pool.  We are excited to have Chad Gerhard  as a part of our staff and team.  For more information about the PSC Ignite Program, please click here.
