A Good Swimmer

 

A good swimmer doesn’t count his laps

To find a way to cheat it

A good swimmer counts his time

To find a way to beat it

 

A good swimmer doesn’t complain

About the race he has to do

A good swimmer holds the idea

That he will make it through

 

A good swimmer doesn’t only care

About others swimming near him

A good swimmer also thinks

About his stroke, and his swim

 

A good swimmer doesn’t stop

He keeps holding on

He knows he will only win the race

If he stays strong

 

A good swimmer doesn’t “comfort swim”

As said by Coach Kelly

A good swimmer pushes him

And works the muscles in his belly

 

Smarts, depth, strength, coaching

The Stingrays have all these

Because of our determination

We only aim to succeed

 

We all know what a good swimmer is

We were taught it by the best

So, champions or not…
